the anniversary celebration

compared to last year, ades and i celebrated this year intimately.

we celebrated this year a day before the real day because on sundays, there are not alot of establishments open, and we wanted to watch a show in the westend.

tonight, were celebrating it with friends c and g.

we dont normally plan to celebrate our anniversary (matay-mingan lang gyud na when the date is coming, adrian is on the mood to do something), a simple dinner at home would do me (with some friends invited over) but since we were planning a westend show, we decided to do it last night as well. any excuse to go out, ika nga.

it was raining in London the entire time.we were drenched. thank goodness for umbrellas, the best invention for the London weather.

*note: i wore the same Protacio dress i had on for our very first dinner date years ago ..its a black unsymmetrical hemline,spaghetti strap,and low cut backline..except the bolero which is a recent purchase,which i wore to last year's anniversary dinner. i know, i was dressed in nostalgia that night*





we stopped by this cute little deli in covent garden to snack before the show..we were fed up with the rain too





we were laughing because we were drenched in rain..look at his shirt,LOL

the theatre, the first theatre built after the first world war...eerie...just perfect for the kind of show we were watching...




The Woman in Black..it was scary...but not that scary...

(note: i think we hyped ourselves up on how scary it was basing on reviews [and from friends recommendations], that we felt a little letdown...either that, adrian and i are not scaredy cats...although there were alot of screaming from the audience.)




we were that close to the stage..sneakily took a photo before the show started ..the set was scary.

after dinner, adrian whisked me off to a dinner reservation he made for us..it was a quaint italian resto just across the royal drury lane theatre, favourite of thespians who act in the westend..

actors who already dined there were julie andrews, joanna lumley, and can you see our very own miss saigon jeanine desiderio??

on the other corner of the room i could see a photo of a very young lea salonga..i couldnt get to it to take a photo

the remains of my favourite parma ham and melon...i wasnt able to take a photo of my linguini al gamberoni, because there were many people in the resto by then, i was shy to take the food photos.
