because she knows i never am late (unless there was a transport problem i could not control).
the trains going to fenchurch street were being maintained, so waiting for a train that will never arrive and ignoring the only destination trains were going today was not a good start.
my stomach was rumbling. i was hungry. too excited about an agreed asian lunch, and stories to talk about.
i had to ring adrian to check the internet and see if there was a warning from London Transport regarding trains..there was a C2C train overhaul. dang!
when we saw one another at Victoria station, the "bahakhaks" started..and ended up til we parted ways.
it was one of those calendar dates that rarely is pencilled but is worth the trouble amidst train troubles.
a date with good friend Analyn who is a fellow Science HS alumna and who resides in Southampton, UK.
we were mere schoolmates in our previous alma mater, but since reconnecting with her in the UK, and found our commonality for laughter and good food, we now consider one another as good friends. she has come to the house a few times and slept here, and i have yet to return the favor of going to where she lives (one day).
we had the best time photographing ourselves.

you wouldnt know that she's a highly respected professional outside work. she makes fun of herself and does it very well so..
and of course, i was asked to "lukdo" the pot..she thought it was hilarious..and it is.
did i tell you that she's one of Proctor and Gamble's big shot in their accounts department? and currently doing Law in one of the big London universities..but of course, she plays it down with acting like a klutz..=) which makes her such an admirable person.
incidences that still tickle me...blackberry vs iphone experiment, "mind the gap" trapped door incident, taking the cab to catch the nearest asian buffet i could remember because we were both sooo hungry, paperchase "barter" issue,and a whole lot more.
a much needed catching up for both people who missed one another's company and enjoying the friendship we shared we both found in a foreign land.

she also promised to give mama a lifetime Oil of Olay gift packages,as long as we invite her over to eat a pot of "humba" when mama's here..
she also promised to supply me with a lifetime "pampers" supply when i have a child,just as long as i make her a "ninang"..
i think the oil of olay is much more doable in the near future. hehe.

im so blessed when it comes to people in my life.
i am surrounded with intelligent,and admirable, 'funny' people, and that for me, is always amongst the top in my "gratitude" list.
